In Northern New Mexico junipers and small gray birds are ubiquitous. Both have successfully adapted to the harsh and spare environment. Details in nature are easy to overlook and not see, but a bit of an abandoned nest in a juniper caught my eye and allowed me to look—to see its marvelous details. This ring is a tribute to the junipers and the small gray birds.

The ring, the first in a series, is in 18K Yellow gold, with a steel bowl supporting a beautiful 7mm (1.90 ct.) light-blue Chatham (a lab grown sapphire). Juniper twigs were bent and assembled to from the ring.

This specific ring is in a private collection and is unique, but it is part of limited edition of six, another ring similar to it can be made with the same stone of other gem.
